Condor canceled my scheduled business class flight from Phoenix to Frankfurt. Currently waiting for nearly $1,700 refund.Ĭondor Flugdienst dealt with me in clear violation of US Federal regulations. Condor has given us the run-around, drawing this out only to refuse us a refund for a flight that we are owed. Called back again, and the agent could not elaborate as to WHY we couldn't get a refund, but directed us to the complaints page which would take 4+ weeks to review. I called back, and received a REALLY nasty agent. Instead, we received an email with legal verbiage about protective shielding and strict regulations and they they could not offer a refund.
The agent couldn't reach accounting and said they'd call back. We called back the following Monday (5:00 AM) and we were put on hold. When no refund came, we called back and were told that accounting was closed and we'd have to call back at German time the following Monday. So we called back, and were told that it was 14 business and to wait another week.so we did. They canceled the credit, issued us an email saying it was canceled, and told us to wait 14 days. So we called Condor and they assured us that the flight had been canceled, and that if we wanted a refund, they would cancel the credit and we would get a refund within 14 days. Prior to our flight, we did receive an email, but it didn't say the flight was canceled by Condor, it said it was "canceled at our request" and offered a credit.which we obviously didn't request.
When we finally got a hold of Condor we were told it was "likely" canceled, but they would send an email when they knew for sure and it would offer a credit or a refund. All we got was errors, and there was no flight information, with weeks of flights simply grayed out. Leading up to the date of our flight, we tried to sign in to check on the flight status, but the website did not work. This was understandable, but their customer service reaction was not. My wife and I booked a Trip to Italy through Condor, then COVID hit, and Condor canceled the flight.
